ELIX (former PEEP - Volunteer Projects for the Environment) was founded in 1987 after an individual initiative of Mrs. Eleni Gazi, current Chairman of the Board organization. The participation in an international volunteering program in Spain has stimulated the establishment of the organization in order to enable more people to live a similar experience for wider promotion of volunteering.
